CD Sales on Jozzbeat.com
As musicians & composers ourselves we would LOVE to supply you with another easy avenue in which to sell your CD. We focus on Australian musicians living in Australia who independently sell their CD's. This doesn't mean that you can't be a signed artist here as long as your company is ok with you selling the CD's through us.
What's In It For You?
Well, as one of Australia and New Zealand's leading music education providers we attract a lot of traffic to this website. We currently track over 35,000 visits (not 'hits') per annum. Along with our sister site MyJellybeansMusic.com.au which attracts around 30,000 visits per annum, we anticipate the JozzBeat.com traffic to continue to grow each year. We also actively engage with our website audience through a quarterly eNewlsetter that features our latest products (which could be YOUR CD!) as well as interviews with well known musicians.
Our traffic comes from all over the world, but specifically from:
- Music Educators across Aus./NZ
- Parents & students in our Jellybeans In-Schools Program
- Other general traffic
How Does It Work?
We place your CD into your requested category. We can even make a new one for you if necessary!. It is displayed with all other CD's in that category (for example 'Jazz Guitarists') and once clicked on it, customer will be taken to a specific page for your CD. This page will include:
- Promotional information
- Cover Artwork
- 4 - 5 x 1 min. demo tracks of your CD (these are placed on your specific CD page and are unable to be downloaded by customers)
When a sale is made through our online e-Commerce engine, you will be notified and required to post your CD to the customer. All postage rates are calculated during the sales process so you will not be out of pocket. This includes international sales. Upon receipt of your invoice made out to JozzBeat Music Publishing Pty. Ltd. for the sale of your CD, the remaining 70% of the sale price is electronically delivered to your nominated bank account. Easy!
What Is The Cost To Me?
A standard 30% commission of the retail price of your CD is applied to any sale. This covers our e-Commerce transaction costs, hosting costs for your CD and the opportunity for you to promote your CD on our well patronised website.
What Do I Need To Supply JozzBeat With? (Please see form below...)
We require you to send us the following:
- Cover Artwork in high res. PDF/PSD/PNG (if you have different file types please contact us on info@jozzbeat.com). Please attach your artwork in the form below.
- Promotional information to help market your CD. Generally 4 - 5 paragraphs outlining the style, qualities, musicians etc. of your CD that make it special. You may wish to include 1 or 2 brief previews here too.
- 4 to 5 demo tracks from the CD. This is up to you to select and cut down the full tracks into demos that will promote your CD on the site. The demos MUST NOT BE LONGER THAN ONE (1) MINUTE IN DURATION. These can be supplied to us in mp3, wav or aiff format. You can do this by clicking the widget below and sending directly to our Soundcloud account.
We DO NOT need your actual CD! Our process is to inform you when CD sales are made and for you to then post the CD to the customer.
Please note, we do not make payment to you until receive confirmation that the customer has received the goods.
Where Do I Sign Up?
Well, there is no contract and no timeframe that you are required to leave your CD on our site. If you choose to no longer include your CD on our site, then simply fill in the form below, include all required info and files and submit. No problem at all!
